Gweni Llwyd is an artist working across tactile and digital forms. She creates playful, layered works that explore the entanglements between personal, collective, and more-than-human experiences. Her practice invites us to consider how all life is bound together as part of a messy, shared metabolism.

Recent projects include: Language(s), Garage, Rotterdam (2025); ArtLabo, Île de Batz, Brittany (2025); Carreg Ateb, Mostyn, Llandudno (2025); Summer Lab Residency, Rib, Rotterdam (2024); Artes Mundi x Oriel Machno Residency (2024); Traces of a Cathode, s1 ArtSpace, Sheffield (2023); Partial View, MaMa, Rotterdam (2023); Elan Links Residency, Elan Valley (2023).

Gweni has received multiple fellowships, prizes and awards such as: Colwinston Trust Award (2025); the National Eisteddfod of Wales Young Artist Scholarship (2018); Arts Council of Wales Brian Ross Memorial Award (2018); Artists Futures Fund Step Change Fellowship (2017-2018).
